RetributionThe hunt has begun. And I am the prey. But not for long. I can hear deep growls from behind me, but I do not look. I just keep running. My legs are numb. My lungs are on fire. Yet I run. Hoping that I am faster than my hunters. If I'm not, I'm going to have to kill them all or risk dying myself. As darkness falls over the city, the monsters that live in the night awaken, peering from the shadows of alley ways and shattered windows. They watch me scrambling across asphalt with glowing eyes and leering smiles. I can hear their hyena laughter when I trip over my own feet. I can taste the strong bitter tang of blood in my mouth; I bit my tongue when I fell. Blood is dripping out of my mouth. This causes them to snap to attention.
